Slave: Naughty Slave

Your laggard slave, because he's late
In marking your birthday,
Please, Mistress, do not castigate,
Too hard; you were away

On holiday, else he had been
Outside with your bouquet
Precisely on June Seventeen,
Rehearsing this to say:

"Please deign, Dread Mistress, to receive
"These emblems of my duty.
"Though blooms be beautiful, believe
"None can exceed your beauty."

By which he'd let his secret slip:
It's not just domination,
But watching her who wields the whip;
That's his true fascination.

Though without mercy teased and tied,
With weals made more than warm,
He's by this sight most gratified:
A graceful female form.

Thus so unmasked, with double weight
His form you'd choose chastise
What's worse than being ten days late?
Un-slave-like lusting eyes!

Forbid his tongue to voice the least
Demur; make him, ashamed,
Give thanks that he's a favoured Beast
By such a Beauty tamed.

Who's 'he'? 'You There', whom earlier
A plainer mistress trained.
By lovely Lady Rochester
May I be long retained,

My mirror'd self sometimes to see,
Restrained, out-stretched, exposed;
Yet through your nearness seemingly
In dear embrace enclosed.
