My Testimony by You There

Constrained to give the matter thought
By recent litigation,
I've readied, should I stand in court
This sworn-to explanation:

It's not for me the pain per se
I like, but the fine art
With which You, my dread Mistress, play
The dominatrix part.

You've taught me that, once through the door,
My duty 'tis to kneel
And lick, with cheek pressed close to floor,
Your boots, from toe to heel ...

Until You order: "you there, crawl
"Behind me up the stair;
"Then strip." Peeled off, my garments fall.
I stand before You, bare.

Your eyes my nakedness appraise
With expertise, intent
Perhaps on ... what shall be today's
Most piquant punishment?

I ponder too: Your choice is wide;
Chambers richly equipped.
To studded cross shall I be tied?
Then ... paddled? caned? or whipped?

Or else with cuffed wrists hoisted high
Shall I stretch, on tiptoe,
While You Your flogger deftly ply,
Above, between, below?

Though You are lofty, I but low,
While wields Your arm the whip.
We're in (I'll tell the lawyers so)
A real relationship.

Should I too have that litigant's
For-sticking-plaster need,
Your medic room will meet my wants
However much I bleed.

That binding bodies sets minds free,
That captives covet locks,
Your insight sees; for You are The
Mistress of Paradox.

Mistress also of volts and amps,
Who ecstasy dispenses,
Placing with care the contact clamps
Where feeling most intense is;

Who can (but will She?), with Her hand,
Sensation so increase
That any strapped-down man, unmanned,
Must beg for swift release.

Surely the judge, seeing in this
A case of innocence,
Will for himself soon equal bliss
Seek to experience.
